This series was created in collaboration with my sister, where we delve into our Brazilian heritage, seeking to understand our evolving sense of home and belonging.

Divinity is formless, but to us, it takes form as the Sea in Bahia. It represents the permanence of home despite its constant flows. The sea reclaims us with every touch. Bahia’s waters hold the memories of those before us, the traditions we long for, and the promise of renewal. Jewels of the sea: pearls, salt, and thread-woven ties to our ancestry float between the waves. Like us, they shift and shimmer with each passing tide, in constant transmutation.
