Brunei Deneumostier is a Peruvian-Brazilian artist and visual storyteller based in Amsterdam. Through photography and visual narratives, her work explores identity, memory, queerness, and belonging — often through the layered lens of migration and diasporic experience. Blending personal histories with collective memory, she creates intimate portraits and conceptual projects that question inherited narratives, examine embodied histories, and imagine new ways of belonging.
Drawing from her transcontinental background, Deneumostier’s practice engages with contemporary dialogues on decoloniality, queer visibility, and cultural reclamation. Her images navigate the tension between intimacy and performance, personal and collective memory, offering a reflective space for alternative cultural narratives.
Alongside her artistic work, Brunei collaborates with cultural institutions, grassroots initiatives, and impact-driven brands committed to inclusivity, sustainability, and meaningful cultural dialogue.
